Vectura seeks out-licensing partners for its development products usually at the completion of Phase II trials. Partners should be able to contribute to the later-stage development and/or commercialisation of the product with demonstrable expertise, and to maximise the exploitation of the product in the marketplace. Vectura is happy to consider global and territorially based licensing deals.
Vectura is currently seeking to partner the following products:
VR506 – an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) treatment in development for asthma that entered the clinic in the first half of 2011. This valuable product could form part of a licensing package with one or our other out-licensing respiratory opportunities or it could be developed as a stand-alone product. It is available for licensing on a worldwide basis.
VR040 – an inhaled, systemically acting treatment of "off" episodes in patients with fluctuating Parkinson’s disease. VR040 is Vectura's proprietary formulation of apomorphine, delivered to the bloodstream by oral inhalation through the lungs, using the Company’s proprietary dry powder inhalation (DPI) technology. VR040 has successfully completed a Phase II “at home” clinical trial and is available for licensing on a worldwide basis.
VR496 – inhaled heparin for the treatment of Cystic Fibrosis. VR496 has completed a Phase II clinical trial demonstrating anti-inflammatory and mucolytic activity in cystic fibrosis patients. Inhaled heparin may also be relevant to the treatment of asthma and COPD and Vectura is seeking a worldwide development and commercialisation partner for both the CF and the larger asthma and COPD indications.
VR147 – an inhaled triptan for the treatment of migraine. VR147 has successfully completed a Phase I study and it is available for licensing on a worldwide basis.
In addition, Vectura has out-licensing opportunities for VR004 for erectile dysfunction, VR776 for premature ejaculation as well as an inhaled insulin product.
Vectura will continue to grow its product pipeline through development of its own inventions but also through in-licensing or co-development of new opportunities. Vectura is actively seeking such opportunities for the treatment of respiratory disease, with an emphasis on projects that are at the clinical stage.
Vectura's proprietary device and formulation technologies, GyroHaler®, OmniHaler®, Aspirair® , Clickhaler®, Duohaler®, Unit Dose DPIs, PowderHale® and other formulation technologies underpin its product pipeline. Vectura also out-licenses rights to its proprietary device and formulation technologies to other pharmaceutical companies on a non-exclusive basis where the resulting license will generate significant value. Vectura is actively seeking partners and is able to support such licensing deals with formulation and device development expertise as part of wider development collaborations.
